Blush owner Lyna Phuong Nguyen
transitioned into the beauty industry because she recognized a gap that forced women and men to comply with a standardized definition of beauty, often at unattainable costs and in an intimidating setting. Thus, she made it her mission to dedicate her sincerest efforts to creating an all-inclusive environment within Blush, where individuality is celebrated and clients are inspired to embrace their own definition of beauty.
Lyna and her Blush team offer beauty services that help clients look, and more importantly feel, their very best. Through its vast array of services, the salon’s vision is to evoke the blushing innocence of first love - the rush that comes from a deep understanding and acceptance, and the transformation of self-confidence that it brings.
Clients often hear Lyna daring them to "be you!", and this has since become the tagline of Blush.
Before founding Blush, Lyna served as the Marketing Manager and ISO Quality Management Representative for Vesta, Inc. for seven years, where she developed an eye and appreciation for quality. From 2003 to 2005, she served as the Administration Manager for AH Technology Solutions Corp. Lyna credits these formative positions to the development of her philosophy for Blush, where she respects the foundation of outstanding customer service.
Lyna has used her experience and exposure to ensure that she is consistently creating an inspiring environment for her employees. She believes that giving them the freedom to be creative and pursue professional-development opportunities is the best way to empower them to awaken their clients’ natural beauty and inspire self-confidence in others. A continual learner herself, Lyna devotes much of her time to attending seminars in order to advance her education and augment her trade skills.
Lyna's passion in the beauty industry has motivated her to travel the world in search of the best techniques the industry has to offer, in order to help her provide the very best beauty services to her clients without having to compromise the natural integrity of the lashes and skin.
After acquiring E.Nails in Placentia in April of 2013, Lyna re-branded the standard nail salon into Blush, a full-service beauty salon dedicated to inspiring clients to ‘be themselves’ and live their most beautiful life.
In addition to owning Blush and serving as its Operations Manager, Lyna works directly with the salon clients, where she offers facials, skin treatments, eyelash extensions, makeup application, up-dos, waxing, and sugaring.
A strong advocate of giving back, Lyna supports Locks of Love and the National Breast Cancer Foundation. She also takes her Blush team to visit foster care transition homes, where they provide manicures, hairstyling, and face painting for kids.
